FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Longtime cigar shop Barclay-Rex is moving to a larger space in FiDi.
The tobacconist, founded in Manhattan in 1910, is slated to open inside 126 Pearl St., Crain's reports. The smoke shop has been working out of a temporary space at 90 Water St.
It's new location will house a ground level smoke shop and a private lounge on the second floor.
Owner Vincent Nastri III told Crain's that he has signed a 20-year lease for the entire 4-story building. He plans to run a late-night delivery service out of the basement, and turn the third and fourth floors into residential apartments, according to the report.
The shop also runs the M1-5 lounge in TriBeCa and its flagship store in midtown.
The owner did not immediately respond to request for comment.
