Woman Robbed While Waiting for Bus on Flushing Avenue, Police Say

WILLIAMSBURG — A woman was robbed at she waited for a bus on Flushing Avenue, police said.

The victim, 26, paused at a bus stop on Flushing Avenue between Broadway and Humboldt Street on Monday, June 8 around 3 p.m. to get out her MetroCard when a man walked up to her, police said.

He said “This is a hold up, don’t make a scene or do anything, or I will hurt you,” according to police. “Give me all your money.”

The man, who was described as 35 years old, bald and about 6-foot-4, then ran toward Bushwick Avenue with the woman’s $40.

No one has been arrested for the incident.
