QUEENS — A drive-thru Starbucks — the first one in Queens — will open in a new retail complex in Rego Park, which will also include a hotel.

“We are happy to confirm that we will be opening a new drive-thru location in Rego Park, Queens,” a Starbucks spokeswoman said in an email.

The new development, at 92-77 Queens Blvd., near the Rego Center Mall and the Long Island Expressway, is planned for the former site of Goldfingers, a strip club that closed in 1999, after numerous complaints from local residents and elected officials.

The new drive-thru Starbucks would be the third such location in the city.

A store locator map for the coffee chain shows another location in Tottenville, Staten Island, and one more on Cropsey Avenue in Coney Island.

The development was initially planned as a residential tower, but the plans were later altered to become a two-story retail space.

In September last year, the plans were modified again, according to the Department of Building website.

The new building, which is currently under construction, will be four stories high.

According to the developer, Matt Development, the project is scheduled to be completed in September 2015 and Wyndham Hotel is expected to occupy the top two floors.

Wyndham Hotel Group did not immediately confirm the information.

In 2013, the developer paid about $40 million for a 49-year lease with an option for another 49 years to develop the site.

Tommy DeSousa of Matt Development said that it will be a “be a nice-looking, classy building.”

The hotel will feature about 50 rooms, he said, and the hotel lobby will be located in the back of the building, on 93rd Street.

The retail portion of the building will be accessible from Queens Boulevard, according to the developer.

The second floor of the new 64,000-square-foot structure will be occupied by a 14,000-square-foot gym, Retro Fitness

The plan also includes 76 parking spaces, according to the DOB website.

DeSousa said the company is currently looking for a restaurant that would fill the remaining space on the ground floor.
