QUEENS — A man was fatally struck by an N train in Astoria's 36th Avenue station Monday morning, officials said.
The man, whose name and age were not immediately released, was hit by a Queens-bound N train about 9:50 a.m. on the elevated tracks along 31st Street, an MTA spokeswoman said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokeswoman said.
Trains along the N and Q lines were suspended between Lexington Avenue-59th Street and Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard, according to the MTA's site.
Some Queens-bound R trains were running along the F line as well, the MTA said.
