CHINATOWN – A free family-friendly movie series returns to Columbus Park Friday night with a screening of a classic Disney film.

MOCACINEMA, which began last year, will kick off the season with the animated version of “101 Dalmations,” according to the Museum of Chinese in America, which is hosting the series in partnership with the Parks Department.

The screening is a nod to one of its current exhibitions, “Water to Paper, Paint to Sky: The Art of Tyrus Wong,” a retrospective of the artist whose paintings inspired the visual style of another classic Disney film, “Bambi.”

The series will continue until the end of the month and will take place at the Columbus Park Pavilion except for the last screening, which will occur in the park’s ball field. Check out the schedule below:

► June 12 at 8 p.m.: “101 Dalmations”
