CLIFTON — A 16-year-old girl was shot in the leg in Staten Island on Tuesday, police said.
The girl was shot at the Park Hills Apartments building at 185 Park Hill Ave. at about 12:34 p.m., fire officials said.
She was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in stable condition, the FDNY said.
The Staten Island Advance reported that the girl shot herself in the leg. Police said they did not suspect anyone else had committed the shooting.
