FORT GREENE — The owners of Hoja Santa are interested in selling their fledgling Mexican eatery "as is" for $430,000 — and the sale could include the business's name and menu.
Gary Miller and his partners are looking to unload the restaurant, which opened in November 2013 on the corner of Vanderbilt and Dekalb Avenues, and serves specialties like spicy margaritas and lamb sope with black bean hummus and jicama slaw.
The operators plan to pursue other ventures, and the buyer could potentially take on the restaurant's name, menu and liquor license, along with the remaining eight years on the rental lease.
The spot, located at 250 DeKalb Ave., rents for $7,700 a month and the sale would also include a basement dining preparation area, a new walk-in cooler box, an office and storage space, according to an ad on Craigslist.
The location underwent extensive renovations, including new floors and plumbing, just two years ago, according to Miller and Department of Buildings records.
Potential buyers could alternatively "realize their own vision with minimal work" and create an entirely new venue, the ad said.
"To be clear we have no plans to shut down," Miller told DNAinfo New York. "We are just open to discussion if someone comes around with the right offer."
The owner of the building could not be reached for comment.
