EMERSON HILL — A 15-year-old busted for making bomb threats to his high school said he did it to impress his online friends, police said.

The student, who's name is being withheld because he's a minor, called in bomb threats to Susan E. Wagner High School, at 1200 Manor Road, on May 14, 18 and 19, police said.

The threats forced the school to evacuate each time.

Police could not say if the suspect also called three other high schools — Curtis High School, Ralph R. McKee High School and Port Richmond High School — which also received bomb threats on Tuesday.

All four schools received the threats within ten minutes of each other, and all were given the clearance to return between 11:30 and 11:40 a.m., police said.

The Department of Education said they added additional security to the school and sent letters home to parents regarding the incidents.

The teen was arrested at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday and charged with making a terroristic threat and aggravated harassment.
