FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police are still hunting two men who harassed a woman and then attacked and robbed a good Samaritan who tried to stop them.

The 27-year-old victim told police that he saw a woman being harassed on the corner of Stone and Broad streets on May 12 about 5 p.m., and tried to intervene by “telling them to stop,” according to police.

The men then “became very aggressive,” shoving the victim to the ground so hard he hit his head on the sidewalk. The victim had cuts and swelling, but continued to pursue the attackers, police said.

He managed to snap a photo of the men using his iPhone, but then one of the men snatched the phone out of his hands, officials said.

Both men fled down Stone Street and into a subway station.

The men are in their 30s, police said. One suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, blond, and weighing 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white button-down shirt and gray dress pants.

The other suspect, who was also wearing a button-down shirt, is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 250 pounds, police said.
