STATEN ISLAND — A Brooklyn man was fatally shot in a fight with his girlfriend's former beau at her West Brighton home Sunday morning, police said.

Joshua Williams, 30, of East Flatbush, fought with 32-year-old Ramel Santiago outside the girlfriend's Bement Avenue home at about 3 a.m., NYPD officials said.

The fight, near Delafield Avenue, escalated and Santiago shot Williams in the abdomen, police said.

The woman called 911 and was not injured in the dispute, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Williams was pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center an hour after the shooting, police said.

Santiago, of Stapleton, was arrested Wednesday on charges of murder, assault and reckless endangerment, police said.

He was awaiting arraignment Thursday morning, according to court records.
