Fetish Street Fest to Celebrate 'the New York You Were Warned About'

CHELSEA — Slap on those chaps, Chelsea. West 27th Street will be a kinky place for one day in June.

The city's Folsom Street East festival, now in its 18th year, will bring its celebration of kink, fetish, and "sexual diversity and expression" back to the neighborhood on June 21.

It takes place between 10th and 11th Avenues from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will feature live entertainment, beer and the best of the city's sexual underground.

This year's theme is "the New York you were warned about," highlighting the leather-clad world of the city's LGBT fetish scene.

"Whether you love to show off in a harness and jock, or just love to socialize with New Yorkers in the sunshine and support our community organizations, we hope you’ll join us!" co-producer Gary Martin said in a statement.

Leather bar The Eagle will host a beer garden. Proceeds from the event will go to the Anti-Violence Project and Visual AIDS.
