Teen Killed and Another Critical in Staten Island Stabbing, Police Say

STATEN ISLAND — A teenager was killed and two others were wounded when a rock-throwing group lured them outside and stabbed them in Port Richmond Monday, police said.

The victims, ages 18, 17 and 22, were at the eldest man's home near Barretts Lane and Richmond Terrace at roughly 8:50 p.m. when a group of men and women started throwing rocks at the building, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The trio, whose names were not immediately released, went outside to confront the group, police said. The victims followed the group for about two blocks south to Broadway and Markham Lane, where they were stabbed, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

The 18-year-old was stabbed in the chest and pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center, police said.

The 17-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds and was in critical condition at the same hospital, officials said.

Both victims managed to get to the hospital by private means, while EMS transported the 22-year-old victim to Richmond University, where he was considered stable and was being treated for slashes to the head and chest, police said.

Police had not made any arrests as of Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman said.
