BRONX — Two children and four adults were injured in a fire that broke out in a two-story Bronx home Tuesday, according to officials.

The FDNY got a call at 11:37 a.m. saying the second floor of 2144 Watson Ave. in the Bronx was burning, authorities said.

Firefighters reigned in the flames at 12:07 p.m. and six patients, two of them children, were taken to Jacobi Hospital and Montefiore Hospital for smoke inhalation, according to authorities.

A firefighter also suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation, authorities said.
