THE BRONX — A woman was raped and robbed on a Soundview rooftop by a man who told her he had a knife Monday morning, police said.
The 21-year-old woman was at a building on Banyer Place about 1 a.m. when the man forced her onto the roof, NYPD officials said.
NYPD officials did not say where she was in relation to the building when he approached her and they did not provide a cross street.
The man raped her, stole her cellphone and purse before fleeing, police said.
She was evaluated at Jacobi Medical Center, police said.
Surveillance footage taken from Banyer Place shows the suspect on a kick scooter, according to the NYPD.
He's about 6-feet tall, 140 pounds with black braids and a rash on the right side of his face, police said.
