EAST HARLEM — Police arrested a 25-year-old man who beat his older brother with a tripod, the NYPD said.

Noel Bermudez was drunk in an apartment he shared with his older brother about 6 p.m. on April 30, according to a police account. When the 30-year-old brother asked him to leave the 1990 Lexington Ave. apartment, Bermudez became violent, officials said.

Bermudez, who has been arrested for drinking in public twice in the last two months, grabbed a tripod and hit his brother in the head and lip, according to the police.

He has been charged with assault and is due in court June 24, records show.

His lawyer was not immediately available for comment.

► Police traced a stolen iPhone from Randall’s Island Park to a nearby homeless shelter Saturday.

The 32-year-old victim left his bag unattended while he was playing football in the park, police said.

When he finished playing football, the bag was gone. Police tracked down the phone using the Find My Phone app to a nearby homeless shelter on Randall’s Island.

Officers found in Edwin Del Valle's pocket. The bag, which had a couple of credit cards and some cash were under his bed, according to the criminal complaint.

Del Valle, 56, was charged with grand larceny. He is at Rikers Island on a $2,500 bail and is due in court Mar 8, records show.

His attorney declined to comment.

► A woman was punched in the back of the head as she exited a Chase Bank with $499, police said.

The 54-year-old victim was putting the money into her wallet when the assault happened on the Northeast corner of Third Avenue and East 116th Street about 1:45 p.m. on May 1, according to the NYPD. 

An unknown person snuck up behind, punched her in the head and stole the money.
