NEW YORK CITY — Looking to adopt your own Krypto or Ace the Bat-Hound?

Now's your chance as Animal Care & Control has dressed up some of its furry critters as superheroes for a pet adoption promotion.

A fawn-colored pup named Milo is dressed as Thor, the Viking comic book hero, while a wiry terrier named Plato doubles as Superman.

The photos were put out in time for the release of Marvel comic book movie sequel "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

AC&C is offering discounted adoptions for 10 days starting on Friday for dogs and cats more than seven months old and rabbits of any age. Until May 10 adoptions will cost $20 instead of the usual $50 or $75 fee and all the animals are already vaccinated, implanted with a microchip and spayed or neutered.

Across the city AC&C has three adoption centers open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the weekends, or you can browse for your ideal companion on its app.
