QUEENS — A man was fatally shot while sitting in a car in South Jamaica Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Jerwaine Gorman, 34, was sitting beside a woman inside a 2011 Mercedes Benz outside 114-23 167th St. near Linden Boulevard roughly 12:30 p.m., when someone came up and shot him, according to FDNY and NYPD officials.
Gorman, of Rosedale, was taken to Jamaica Hospital and pronounced dead, police say.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was not injured in the shooting, police said.
The motive for the shooting wasn't immediately clear. No one was immediately arrested, police said.
