COLUMBIA STREET WATERFRONT DISTRICT — There's a new beer and hot dog spot opening on the waterfront just in time for summer.

The Hop Shop is slated to open at 121 Columbia St. Friday at 5 p.m., with more than a dozen New York brews on tap and roughly 50 kinds of beer in bottles and cans, owners said.

The bar is partnering with the Brooklyn Hot Dog Company for its food menu, which will be available in a few weeks, co-owner Anneli Fredh said. The space also has a back patio that the owners hope to open this summer.

Fourteen beers will be served on tap, including Red Hook’s Sixpoint, Empire Brewing Company and Staten Island's Flagship brews.

The owners hope to build up their collection and eventually serve nearly a 100 varieties of beer.

“Maybe a little more,” Fredh said. “You never know.”

These could include “rare, hard-to-find stuff” priced at up to $50 a bottle, she noted. Cheaper pours will also be available.

Ryan Watson, who owns the spot along with Fredh, his fiancée, and John O’Brian, has worked in city bars for more than a decade, he told DNAinfo New York last year.

“I think the only thing I didn’t have on my resume was owner,” he said at the time.
