Service Changes Planned for 12 Subway Lines This Weekend

MIDTOWN — Service changes are set for 12 subway lines this weekend as the MTA continues its extensive work on rails and stations across the city.

Here’s a breakdown by line:

6 Train: Until later this spring, 6s will skip Zerega Avenue and Buhre Avenue in The Bronx in both directions.

For service to/from Zerega Avenue, use the Bx4 or a shuttle bus to connect between Zerega Avenue and Middletown Road. A free transfer will be available with a MetroCard.

For service to/from Buhre Avenue, use the Bx8, Bx24 or shuttle buses to connect between Buhre Avenue and Middletown Road. Free transfer is available with a MetroCard.

From 6:45 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound 6s will run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue.

7 Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Queens-bound 7s will run express from Queensboro Plaza to Citi Field. For service to 33rd Street, 40th Street, 46th Street and 52nd Street, take a Flushing-bound 7 to 61st Street-Woodside and transfer to a Times Square-bound 7. For service from these stations, take a Times Square-bound 7 to Junction Boulevard, 61st Street-Woodside or Queensboro Plaza and transfer to a Flushing-bound 7.

A Train: Until the summer, Far Rockaway/Ozone Park-bound As will skip Rockaway Boulevard.

For service to Rockaway Boulevard, take the Far Rockaway-bound A to Aqueduct-North Conduit Avenue or a Lefferts Boulevard-bound A to 104th Street and transfer to a Brooklyn-bound A.

For service from Rockaway Boulevard, take a Brooklyn-bound A to 88th Street and transfer to a Far Rockaway or Lefferts Boulevard-bound A.

A trains will also run express from Columbus Circle to Canal Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

C Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound Cs will run express from Columbus Circle to Canal Street.

D Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound Ds will be rerouted via the N line from 36th Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound Ds will run express from DeKalb Avenue to 59th Street in Brooklyn.

E Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, World Trade Center-bound Es will run express from Penn Station to Canal Street.

F Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday, Coney Island-bound Fs will skip Avenue U.

Jamaica-bound Fs will skip 75th Avenue, Briarwood-Van Wyck Boulevard and Sutphin Boulevard from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

J Train: From 5:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Queens-bound Js will run express from Myrtle Avenue to Broadway Junction.

M Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Ms will be extended to Chambers Street on the J line. After Essex Street, Ms will take on the J’s route, making stops at Bowery and Canal Street.

N Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound Ns will skip 49th Street.

From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday, Coney Island-bound Ns will run local from DeKalb Avenue to 59th Street.

Q Train: From 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, Brooklyn-bound Qs will skip 49th Street.

R Train: From 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Brooklyn-bound Rs will skip 49th Street.
