QUEENS — A woman was struck and injured after walking into the path of an MTA bus Friday afternoon, officials said.

The collision occurred at 5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and 144th Street in Jamaica, FDNY officials said.

The woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries to her hip and foot and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, officials said.

"She was conscious. She was opening and closing her eyes," said Romey Rodriguez, 38, who works at a Issa's Nail and Hair Salon nearby and witnessed the aftermath of the crash. "When they took her out her whole [foot] was torn."
