BROOKLYN — A small brush fire roared in a corner of Prospect Park Monday night for more than an hour before firefighters brought it under control, officials said.
The flames spread across a patch of vegetation near 16th Street and Prospect Park West about 8:20 p.m., an FDNY spokesman said.
The fire kept flickering until about 9:55 p.m., the spokesman said.
Passersby posted photos to social media.
Fire marshals were still trying to figure out what sparked the blaze Tuesday morning.
No injuries were reported.
