CHELSEA — Calling local designers and aspiring fashion moguls.

For the fourth year running, the Fashion Institute of Technology will offer a free "mini-MBA" program, three weekends of crash courses in how to run a successful business.

Applications for Design Entrepreneurs NYC are due April 7, and classes start May 28.

Topics of study include marketing, public relations, operations and financial management. The three weekends of courses run though June 14, and are taught by FIT faculty.

After developing business plans, participants will be eligible for cash awards to kick-start their businesses. The program will give away a total of $150,000 in prize money.

Participants can also join optional workshops and "informal salons with iconic fashion figures," according to the school.
