BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A Bronx man was arrested Thursday for a series of subway slashings in Bed-Stuy that left three people with cuts across their faces, according to police.

Shawn Howard, 28, first wielded a razor blade around 6:15 p.m. on March 16 while on a C train at Utica Avenue, police said. He walked up to a 19-year-old victim unprovoked and slashed him on the right side of the face before leaving the scene, police said.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital.

The next morning around 1 a.m., Howard approached a 21-year-old woman on an A train at Nostrand Avenue and said, “I don’t like you!” before cutting her, according to officials. He left as the train doors were closing.

Howard continued his streak on March 19 when officials said he left a gash on a 23-year-old woman’s face while on a C train at Ralph Avenue.

Police arrested the suspect at the corner of Broadway and Patchen Avenue on Thursday after officers recognized him from a wanted photo. During a search, police said they found he was carrying a razor blade.

Howard is charged with assault and criminal use of a weapon.
