THE BRONX — Three men scaled the fire escape of a Fordham apartment building to break into a woman's apartment and steal her bed and sofa on Christmas Eve, police said.

The 28-year-old tenant came back to her Tiebout Avenue home shortly after 10 p.m. and realized that someone had broken into her apartment via the rear window, according to the NYPD.

The suspects, who can be seen in surveillance photos released by police, took her bed and sofa but left the rest of her property, police said.

The photos show the men heaving a heavy object through the apartment building's hallways.

One man wore what appears to be a yellow sweater with a backwards gray baseball cap, photos show.

The other two men wore dark clothing. One had unkempt hair and the other two had it cropped.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
