EAST VILLAGE — The man suspected of shooting Alphabet City rapper Sham Da God earlier this week, was arrested Thursday morning, according to the NYPD.
Charges are still pending against Shaquille Fuller, 21, who police believed shot Shemrod Isaac, 33, four times in the front of the Lillian Wald Houses after a dispute on Feb. 23.
It is unclear what sparked the shooting or how police apprehended Fuller.
Police said Isaac, an aspiring rapper and father of two young children, was walking through the complex at 20 Avenue D about 4:30 p.m. when he was murdered, NYPD officials said. He was taken to Mount Sinai’s Beth Israel hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Family members said he had just dropped off his 6-year-old daughter with her mother.
