MANHATTAN — Two armed thieves flashed a gun at an A train rider and stole his iPhone 6 before fleeing when the train reached Columbus Circle Friday, police said.

One of the suspects, who can be seen in photos released by police, asked the 26-year-old man aboard the southbound train if he could use the straphanger's phone about 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 13, according to the NYPD.

When the rider refused, one of the muggers lifted his shirt to reveal the butt of a gun while the other rooted through the straphanger's pockets and grabbed his iPhone, police said.

They left the train at Columbus Circle and remained at large as of Thursday morning, police said.

One of the suspects wore a hoodie under a parka with a fur-lined hood, and the other wore a green bubble jacket over a hoodie, according to police photos.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
