$5,000 Cartier Watch Stolen While Woman Was Hospitalized, Police Say

CHELSEA — A woman's $5,000 Cartier watch and Ralph Lauren bracelet valued at $250 was stolen while she was sick in the hospital, according to authorities.

The Chelsea resident, 24, discovered the theft when she returned home to her West 24th Street apartment on January 29 at about 5 p.m., police said. 

The Pasha de Cartier watch features a round face and Arabic numerals, according to the Cartier website. 

The woman told police that several people have access to the apartment and were inside while she was away, according to a crime report.

It was not clear where the woman was hospitalized.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

► A driver stabbed a 37-year-old man who hit the back of his car with his hand, police said, after the driver almost struck the victim with the vehicle about 5 p.m. on Feb. 4, police said.

The man was walking south on Tenth Avenue when a grey sedan making a left turn on West 27th Street almost hit him, according to police.

The driver of the car, who police described as 5-foot-4 and 130 pounds, jumped out of his vehicle and screamed, "You hit my car," according to authorities. He then stabbed or cut the victim in the bicep with an unknown item, police said.

The man required three stitches in his left arm, according to NYPD. 

► A man stole nine pairs of jeans valued at $630 from The Gap at West 23rd Street and Eighth Avenue at around 4:10 p.m. on February 4, the NYPD said.

► A man stole 13 pairs pf $85 Ugg Colton sweatpants from the Ugg Store on West 14th Street and Ninth Avenue at around 4:00 p.m. on February 5, police said.
