WINDSOR TERRACE — Two people were hospitalized after a fire tore through a Prospect Park West apartment building Tuesday morning, the Fire Department said.

The blaze broke out on the third floor of 263 Prospect Park West, near Prospect Avenue, about 11:35 a.m., the FDNY said.

About 60 firefighters worked to bring it under control 45 minutes later.

Eone Daily, 29, said the fire started in his 60-year-old mother’s third-floor apartment, but added that she was uninjured.

“It started in the bedroom,” he said. “Once she saw flames, she ran out and tried to warn neighbors.”

The victims were taken to Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
