ASTORIA — There's nothing ruff about this life.

A pet hotel and dog daycare in Astoria aims to be a "one-stop shop" for neighborhood pooch owners, offering small private rooms where they can board their dogs overnight, which will be furnished with beds for the pups and their own small TVs.

"It makes them more relaxed, and feel more homey," said Samantha Aguilar, owner of NYC Pet Services, which recently opened on the second floor of 23-08 30th Ave. after operating for three years at another space on 24th Avenue.

The company offers grooming, dog-walking, boarding and doggie daycare, and is located on the same floor as as Mt. Sinai Animal Clinic — whose owner Aguilar once worked with when she was an assistant at a vet — so that dog owners can get a number of services in one place.

"I want to be as convenient for my clients as possible," she said. "We just want happy tails here."

NYC Pet Services will have a grand opening Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. so potential clients can tour the new space.

Daycare runs $30 a day, dog walking costs $25 for an hour or $15 for a half hour, and overnight boarding runs $45 to $65 a night.

Dogs can spend the night in a communal room, where they sleep with other dogs, or owners have the option of booking a small private space. The individual rooms have yet to open, but will eventually be furnished with private doggie beds and a small television, Aguilar said.

Her daycare service has about five to 10 dogs on an average day, according to Aguilar, who said all the clients from her former location have transferred to the new one. She's been in the pet-care business for years.

"I started dog walking when I was 13, so I’ve worked literally with animals my entire life," she said.

NYC Pet Services doesn't use cages or crates, unless specifically requested by a customer, and dogs are given 24-hour supervision, even overnight.

"That's one of the things that people love about us. There are other locations that they just, you know, put the dog in the crate and leave them there and that's it," Aguilar said. "We try to comfort the client and the dog as well — give both peace of mind."

NYC Pet Services is located 28-03 30th Ave., 2nd floor. There will be a grand opening party on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit their website.
