MANHATTAN — Service along the Metro-North's Harlem Line returned Thursday morning, two days after one of its trains crashed into an SUV in Valhalla and burst into flames, killing six people and injuring 15 others, officials said.

Trains were running normally along the line during Thursday's morning rush, albeit with up to 15 minute delays as trains passed through the crash site where work was still being done, the MTA said.

Crews had cleared the charred train and SUV from the tracks Wednesday, but investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board were still planning to comb the scene for up to six more days, officials said.

The full investigation could take a year, officials said.
