CHELSEA — How much would you pay for a New York bagel?

Some New Yorkers were shocked to hear that a new Chelsea spot, BEC, will hawk $7 bacon, egg-and-cheeses on brioche when it opens up on Eighth Avenue later this year.

Black Seed Bagels, home to the $13 tobiko cream cheese bagel, is moving into the classic Italian bakery DeRobertis' place in the East Village. 

How much do you think a bagel or a breakfast sandwich should cost?
