TIMELINE: Metro-North Accidents Have Plagued Rail Line for Years

NEW YORK CITY — Tuesday night's fiery collision between a Metro-North train and a stranded car is just the latest in a string of incidents that have plagued the MTA in recent years.

Since 2013, twelve people have been killed nearly 100 have been injured in crashes and derailments involving Metro-North trains. The victims include two Metro-North employees who were killed by trains while working on the tracks.
