WILLIAMSBURG — Talk about the devil's work.

A man wearing a beanie with red devil horns stole a wallet from the purse of a 37-year-old woman at The Abbey bar on Sunday, Jan. 18 around 11 p.m., police said.

The man, who looked to be in his late 20s or early 30s, also wore a black jacket, black jeans and black boots.

He fled the bar at 536 Driggs Ave. and made purchases with the woman's cards at multiple locations, police said.

It was unclear what he purchased or how much money he charged to the cards, police said.

The wallet's contents included $300 in cash, foreign currency equal to about $300, gift cards, credit cards and other personal items worth a total of approximately $830, police said.

The Abbey could not immediately be reached for comment.
