LIGHTHOUSE HILL — A man stole gift cards from a car parked in Staten Island then used them to go on a shopping spree, police said.
The man took several TD Bank gift cards and an undetermined amount of cash from the inside of a black 2014 Chevy Tahoe — which was left unlocked by the owner near the intersection of Mace and Spruce streets on Dec. 20, 2014, around 2:40 p.m., police said.
The suspect was later seen on surveillance video in the Staten Island Mall using the gift cards, police said.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket and hat and carrying a black book bag, police said.
