MANHATTAN — Investigators are looking for a man they said used a central Harlem payphone to make a bomb threat against an NYPD precinct stationhouse on Christmas Eve, police said.

The man called 911 from a payphone near 2321 Seventh Ave., near West 136th Street, about 12:38 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He did not specify which stationhouse he wanted to attack, police said.

Investigators want to talk to a man who can be seen in surveillance footage they released.

The man in the video is wearing a white baseball cap with a dark jacket and pants and carrying a bag.

The threat came amid an atmosphere of heightened tension between New Yorkers and the NYPD.

Some of the animosity from citizens stems from what they see as police brutality in the chokehold death of Eric Garner and fatal shooting of Akai Gurley

Police have also become sensitive to threats against them after two officers were executed while sitting in their squad car in December.

Since then, police have taken a strong stance to threats against the NYPD, some of which have been spray-painted on walls and posted online.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
