
HIGHBRIDGE — A man suspected of stabbing a 69-year-old man in the face on Dec. 1 is still at large, according to the NYPD.
The assault happened around 1:30 p.m. at the corner of West 169th Street and Plimpton Avenue in the 44th Precinct, when suspect Christian Gomez, 27, walked up to his victim and stabbed him in the face, causing it to bruise and bleed profusely, police said.
EMS took the victim to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition, according to police.
Officers described Gomez as a roughly 6-foot, 220-pound man with brown eyes and black hair whose last known address was 1324 Ogden Ave. in the Highbridge neighborhood of The Bronx.
He has been arrested multiple times before for charges including drunk driving, trespassing and tampering with evidence, police said.
