Thieves Nab $14,000 from Staten Island Travel Agency, Police Say

TOMPKINSVILLE — Two people robbed a Staten Island travel agency at gunpoint last week and took $14,000 in cash, police said.

A man and a woman walked into the Atlantic Travel Agency, 89 Victory Blvd, around 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, police said. The man approached a worker, displayed a gun, and demanded money from the safe inside.

The man took out $14,000 in cash while the woman acted as a lookout. Then they both fled the location, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police described the man as between 20 to 25 years old, 5-feet 10-inches with a medium build and facial hair. The woman is between 20 to 25 years old and 5-feet 5-inches, police said.
