BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A man was shot to death Sunday evening during a Bed-Stuy deli robbery, according to police.

Rafael Pujols, 49, was working at Las Vegas Grocery at 54 Howard Ave. when a man entered the bodega around 6:30 p.m. and demanded cash.

The suspect brandished a silver revolver and fired at Pujols, hitting him in the abdomen, according to police. The man fled the scene without taking any property or money.

Pujols was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition, but was pronounced dead.

Surveillance video released Monday shows the suspect pacing in front of the store before entering and pointing the weapon at the clerk. The suspect is described as approximately 6-foot tall and about 275 pounds with a medium complexion and brown eyes.
