MIDTOWN — A person was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle near the Macy’s department store in Midtown Friday afternoon, according to the FDNY.

The person was hit at Broadway and West 35th Street, just above the Herald Square pedestrian plaza at about 5:37 p.m. and taken to Bellevue Hospital, an FDNY spokesman said.

There was no immediate information on whether the driver remained on the scene or on the age or gender of the victim.
