LIRR Service Back to Normal for Evening Commute, MTA says

MIDTOWN —Long Island Rail Road will be functioning at full capacity for Tuesday evening's commute, the MTA announced.

Four tracks had been shut down for repairs after a fire near the station's West End Concourse disrupted rush hour traffic Tuesday morning. 

Nearly 140 firefighters responded to the early morning blaze, that authorities say ignited due to temporary lighting wires.
