CHELSEA — It was a hair-raising situation.

A trio of thieves boosted $1,000 worth of Rogaine and antacids from a CVS on Sunday, according to police. 

The suspects made off with $239 worth of of Women’s Rogaine, $199 of Men’s Rogaine, and more than $800 worth of Nexium, Prilosec, Zantac and similar acid reflux medicines from the CVS at West 14th Street and Eighth Avenue.

After leaving the store without paying, the men fled down Eighth Avenue, and one man dropped his cellphone, according to a witness.

CVS said they were cooperating with police in the investigation, but would not comment further.

Police were combing over the clues, but could not provide a description of the three men.

Other recent crimes in the 10th Precinct include:

 A man punched a 54-year-old stranger on the street last Saturday night, police said.

The suspect approached the male victim around 11:45 P.M. on the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 14 Street and started to argue with him, according to a police report. He then punched him in the face, causing swelling and redness to his left eye, police said. The victim was taken to Lenox Hill hospital, according to the NYPD. 

► A man reported his blue Toyota Rav4 stolen after he left it on the street with the keys inside on New Years' Day, according to a police report. He left the car on West 23rd Street on Thursday night and when he returned to the spot Friday morning, it was gone, he told police.
