Woodhaven — A 90-year-old Forest Hills man was killed in a five-car crash in Woodhaven earlier this week, police said.
The deadly crash began when two vehicles “side-swiped” each other while traveling southbound along the Woodhaven Boulevard — Atlantic Avenue overpass at about 6:17 p.m. on Dec. 21, police said.
The two cars then lost control, forcing them across the roadway’s center median where they hit two vehicles driving northbound.
A fifth car, driven by 90-year-old Roger Pariente, was caught between the two northbound vehicles that were struck. Pariente rear-ended one of the cars, causing a fatal head injury, police said.
Pariente was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital.
Passengers from the other vehicles sustained minor injuries.
