UPPER WEST SIDE — A fire broke out in a swanky Upper West Side building that has counted Sting, Alex Rodriguez and Denzel Washington among its famous residents.

The blaze started in a utility closet at 15 Central Park West, an apartment building so upscale it was dubbed the "House of Outrageous Fortune" by one writer.

Fire officials said they responded to a call about 3:20 a.m. on the building's sixth floor. It was under control by 4:10 a.m. and nobody had to be evacuated, according to FDNY.

There were no injuries reported.

Fifteen Central Park West features a walnut-lined library, a screening room, a private restaurant, a health club with a seventy-foot swimming pool and apartments worth millions of dollars, according to author Michael Gross' book "House of Outrageous Fortune: Fifteen Central Park West, the World's Most Powerful Address."
