MANHATTAN — A Crown Heights woman is being questioned over the attack that left one NYPD lieutenant with a broken nose during an Eric Garner protest on the Brooklyn Bridge last weekend.

Officers executed a search warrant at the woman's apartment Friday morning and found evidence that may link her to the attack, sources said. The woman, who police have not identified, is in her 20's and is a student teacher at Rutgers University, sources said.

The woman has not been arrested or charged, but is considered a person of interest, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

Investigators have a lead on another suspect in the attack, sources said.

Two people have been arrested for the Dec. 13 assault earlier this week.

The melee happened when lieutenants Phillip Chan and Patrick Sullivan, both of the Legal Affairs Bureau, tried to arrest CUNY professor Eric Linsker for trying to throw a trash can onto the roadway of the Brooklyn Bridge. As they tried to arrest him, a group of protesters punched and kicked the lieutenants. Chan suffered a broken nose and the other sustained a few scrapes and bruise.

Officers tracked Linsker down and arrested him Monday.

Robert Murray, also of Crown Heights, was arrested Thursday. Prosecutors said he tackled a lieutenant and dragged another to the ground while trying to stop them from arresting Linsker, according to the criminal complaint.

The NYPD is looking for five more people, not counting the woman being questioned, in connection to the assault. They have released a video of the incident and are offering a $12,000 reward for information.
