BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Maple syrup lovers are in for a sweet treat in Bed-Stuy.

Snowday, a maple syrup-themed food truck, will make a stop at a Brooklyn holiday market Monday night to help bring awareness to local vendors.

Foodies can get a taste of the Vendy Award-winning maple-syrup grilled cheese and check out the truck’s snow machine at the 360 Throop Ave. Nextdoororganics Brooklyn Hub.

Nextdoororganics, which provides organic vegetables, fruits, meats, dry goods, and small-batch items from urban farmers, is hosting the pop-up market in an effort to promote area businesses.

“We want to help bring attention to local makers and support the food community,” said Jordyn
Lexton, founder and president of Snowday. “Ninety percent of our truck food comes from Upstate New York farms, and we recognize the impact we can make from local food.”

Snowday, which is run by Drive Change — a nonprofit organization that employs previously incarcerated youth — works to support criminal justice reform.

The truck, dubbed "a vehicle for social justice," is used as a tool to teach skills in social media, money management, small business development and culinary arts, according to Lexton.

Monday night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Snowday will serve up $7 fresh-baked sourdough bread drizzled with white cheddar cheese and pure maple syrup from Roxbury Farms.

The truck’s extended French Canadian-style menu also offers items such as fried brussels sprouts with maple smoked rib, and taffy maple snow cones with hot syrup over shaved ice.
