BED-STUY — A two-family townhouse in Bed-Stuy sold for $3 million on Wednesday, setting a new sale price record for the neighborhood.

The five-story house, located at 242 Gates Ave., a few blocks away from Clinton Hill, features six bedrooms, four bathrooms, three terraces, five fireplaces, an outdoor shower and front and back yards, according to real estate company Corcoran, which closed the deal.

The sale was first reported by Brownstoner.

It is not known who bought the town house as documents for the sale have not been made publicly available yet.

A Corcoran listing agent who worked on the sale said Halstead Property, a real estate firm, represented the person who bought the 3,808 square feet house.

The house was sold for roughly $750,000 in 2007, public records show, and the asking price was set at $2,650,000 when it went on the market this summer after being restored for seven years.

The previous Bed Stuy real estate sale record was set last June when an investment firm bought a house at 22 Arlington Place for $2,250,000.
