TRAVIS — A man died after part of a Staten Island car dealership collapsed on Friday morning, the FDNY said.

Delfino Jesus Velazquez Mendizabal, 43, of New Brighton, was trapped when a mezzanine level inside the Dana Ford Lincoln dealership at 266 West Service Rd. fell at 8:15 a.m., a spokesman for the FDNY said.

Mendizabal was transported to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, the FDNY said.

Another three men managed to get out of the building and were not injured.

The building is currently under construction and all four men were working on that, the FDNY said.
