NEW YORK CITY — With Turkey Day over, the season of crazed holiday shopping is in full swing. For Cyber Monday, retreat to your computer for the best bargains. DNAinfo New York has rounded up a list of tips for hunting down the best online sales ahead of the rest.

Subscribe to Brand Newsletters To Get Advance Notice of Sales
Many retailers reward loyal customers with information about their Cyber Monday sales through newsletters, often released on the weekend before the big day. Experts say it’s a good idea to sign up now for your favorite brands.

Get App Happy
Downloading apps from the brands you love will find you deals, and an easy means of quickly buying up what you want, experts say. There's also a variety of apps that will find deals for you. Checkout platforms like BuyVia, RetailMeNot, which let you access a massive selection of sales and coupons for big box retailers and more local shops. BuyVia will give you alerts when a new deal pops up for a selected store.

Buy Up Travel Bargains
Lots of hotels cut deals on Cyber Monday. National chains like Marriott hotels, and Sonesta Hotels and Resorts are offering up sales. Plus, check out hotel and airfare deals on Expedia and Priceline.

Check Social Media
Retailers often keep their best deals under wraps until Cyber Monday, and will take to Twitter, Facebook and even Instagram to get the word out about the sales. Follow your favorite stores, and search hashtags like #CyberMonday to see what deals other people are excited about.

Some Shopping Strategy Might Help
Bookmarking your favorite retailers is good idea, as is thinking about what you really want to buy. Some experts say that scouring your chosen sites and honing in on items you really want, like a new TV, or coat helps to avoid becoming overwhelmed with the blitz of deals. Also, don't worry, if you miss out on some Cyber Monday shopping, sales will be going on at most retailers through December.
