SOHO — A young man was slashed across his neck and stomach during a fight in SoHo last week, police said.

The 20-year-old victim told police his attacker approached him on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Broome Street about 2:50 p.m. on Nov. 18 and began arguing with him.

As the fight escalated, the alleged attacker, 19-year-old Shai Krieger, took out a pocket knife, which prompted the victim to “swing a punch” at Krieger in self-defense, according to police reports.

Krieger then sliced the victim in the neck and stomach, “causing lacerations and substantial pain,” according to the criminal complaint from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

FDNY officials said the victim was taken to NYU Langone Medical Center in serious, non-life-threatening condition.

Krieger pleaded guilty to a third-degree assault charge, and was given a sentence of 90 days in jail, according to officials.

His lawyer could not immediately be reached for comment.

Other recent incidents in the 1st Precinct include:

► A man stole a $6,300 bracelet from jewelry shop Versani on Nov. 10 at about 2 p.m. Police said the man asked an employee of the 152 Mercer St. store to open a showcase so he could see a necklace. While the employee’s back was turned, the man grabbed a bracelet from the shop, and fled the store, the NYPD said. Versani did not immediately return a request for comment.

► A 35-year-old SoHo man had his $27,000 Ducati motorcycle stolen from the corner of Prince and Sullivan streets on Nov. 23, police said. The man said he parked his bike on the street at about 3 p.m., and when he returned two hours later it was gone.
