MANHATTAN — “Cake Boss” star Bartolo "Buddy" Valastro was arrested for drunk driving in Chelsea on Thursday morning, the NYPD said.
Police spotted 37-year-old Valastro driving erratically and swerving through traffic on Tenth Avenue at about 1 a.m. and pulled him over in front of 404 Tenth Ave. near West 33rd Street, police said.
The celebrity chef, who has a reality show on TLC, had a flushed face and watery eyes and was unsteady on his feet, police said. He failed a sobriety test as well, according to police.
Valastro was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with ability impaired, and was held at the 10th Precinct, police said.
In addition to starring in his TV show, Valastro owns the Cake Boss Cafe near the Port Authority Bus Terminal and Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken.
Information about his lawyer was not immediately available.
A phone message left at his Hoboken bakery was not immediately returned.
